Cash is a feeling until it isn’t
The one spreadsheet I open every Monday, and why I stopped looking at revenue first.

For three years I ran the business on a feeling. Busy month, good month. It worked until a busy December left us with €400 in the bank in January.
The Monday sheet
Now I open one sheet every Monday with four numbers: cash today, money owed to us, money we owe, and the next eight weeks of known costs.

Revenue tells you how hard you worked. Cash tells you whether you can keep going.
