The two-week rule for new ideas
Every new idea goes on a list for two weeks before I’m allowed to start it. Most of them don’t survive.

I have more ideas than time, and I used to start all of them. The two-week rule fixed that.
Every new idea goes on a list with the date. If I still want to do it two weeks later, I can start. About one in five survives.
The best filter for an idea is time, not enthusiasm.
